The Lake Zurich Flames board is comprised of parents, coaches and professionals across flag, tackle and cheerleading.
Board members have been nominated, interviewed and voted upon. This process occurs once per year and those interested in serving on the board, in any capacity, may submit their name for consideration.
Unless otherwise noted, the Board meets the 4th Monday or Tuesday of every month except for December when there is no meeting. Please check our calendar for start times as they vary depending on the time of the season. All visitors wishing to address the Board must be added to the agenda prior to the meeting by contacting the Director of Communication or the Board President by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.

Jay is entering his 13th season with the Flames. He has been a head coach for 7 years and an assistant for 3 years. Jay is entering his ninth year on the board and his seventh year on the executive board. This is Jay's six year as President of the Lake Zurich Flames. Jay’s responsibilities will be to lead the future growth of the football and cheer program and ensure the program's yearly goals are being met. He will also work with community leaders from the village of Lake Zurich, Ela Township and district 95 to make sure all the Flames needs are being met. Jay is married to his wife Heather and they have three kids. Chloe is a freshman at the University of Iowa, Tyler is a sophomore at Lake Zurich HS and Bryce is a 7th grader at Middle School South.
Vice President of Football Operations - League Rep
2021 will be Chuck's 15th season as part of the Flames organization in one way or another. He will be serving in his 8th year as a Flames board member and 6th year on the executive board. He has three sons that have gone through the Flames program and have played, or are still playing, for Lake Zurich High School. Chuck has survived many seasons as a coach within the organization. Chuck is currently Vice President of Football Operations. His current responsibilities include equipment coordinator and league liaison to the TCYFL, where the Flames are members of the Health & Safety and Ethics & Competition Committees. Chuck will chair the Coaching Committee for the Flames for the 2021 season. This includes vetting our head coach selections and ensuring our coaches have the proper certifications as required by our league. He also works with the Village of Lake Zurich, Ela Township, District 95 and Lake Zurich High School to secure our practice and game fields and other football related issues regarding the Lake Zurich Flames.
Vice President of Business Operations - Treasurer
Chris is entering his 8th year with the Flames program, a son who has been with the program since flag and a daughter that spent several years in cheer program as a participant and as a student-coach. He has coached in the flag program and more recently during the 7-7 season. He is going into his second year on the board and his first year as part of the executive board.
Director of Cheerleading
Nicole has been coaching her oldest daughter Maya’s Cheer Team for the past 5 years. Her son Vaughn has been playing Football with the Flames since Kindergarten and her youngest daughter Bella just moved to the Flames Competitive Cheer Team after doing Game Cheer the past two years. Nicole has been on the Flames Board for one year and is looking forward to taking on the Cheer Director Role. Nicole has served as the IRCA representative and is well aware of all the State rules and regulations for Cheer. She is currently developing a Cheer Committee and is passionate about growing the Flames Cheer Program. Nicole believes Cheer helps each child in the program learn how to be a team player, improve coordination and strength, develop leadership skills and improve their confidence. Her goal is to ensure that every cheerleader in our program keeps their head up high and their bow higher.
Director of Communication
Regina has been part of the Flames Board since 2018. She served as a general board member in year one, but took on the managing the Flames social media sites and participating in as many events as possible. She is now in her third year as the Director of Communication and works to ensure our community and Flames Families are in the the know about important dates and information via social media and email blasts. She was also the Flag Commissioner for the 2020 season. Regina has three sons, two who participate in Tackle and one in Flag. Her biggest mission is to grow the program and to make sure our town is educated on the benefits of participating in youth sports!
Director of Safety & Player Development
Matt has been coaching with the Flames every year since 2007, in capacities ranging from assistant to head coach. He joined the board in 2015, and became Director of Safety and Player Development in 2017. Additional responsibilities include alternate TCYFL league representative and member of the TCYFL Health and Safety Committee. Matt has a son Matthew who played seven seasons with the Flames, a daughter Ava who was involved with Cheer, and a son Michael who played seventh season with the Flames in 2020.
Director of Competition
Kyle has been coaching for the flames since 2014 and has been a member of the board since 2017. His oldest son, Lucas, is a freshman and played for the flames for six seasons. His middle son, Joshua, has played two seasons of tackle so far and his youngest son, Nathan, will begin tackle in 2021. He also has a daughter in 8th grade. Kyle has had involvement in coaching committees and organizes the concession stand at Knox Park.
